‘Sema Ukweli’, Swahili for Speak the Truth, is a revolutionary platform that exposes daily injustices and human rights violations meted on Kenyans of all walks of life, with particular attention to the voiceless. Sema Ukweli bureau plugs a critical gap in Kenya’s justice media ecosystem and industry, in that, there exist very few spaces where aggrieved Kenyans can narrate their stories and be heard, without fear of censure.Sema Ukweli as an alternative media platform relies on media content and stories from active citizens, citizen journalists, activists and human rights defenders facing or fighting against injustices. Sema Ukweli is actively organizing a community of active citizens championing for a fair, just and equitable society that is built on freedom, democracy and rule of law.
